Privacy policy.
CounselOS Pty Ltd is committed to the Australian Privacy Principles. This policy explains what data we collect, how we store it, and what we do with it.
What we collect
We collect information you provide when signing up (firm name, contact details), and the firm and client data your team enters into CounselOS in the course of practising law.
Where it lives
Customer data is hosted in Sydney. Document copies are stored in Melbourne for disaster recovery. We do not move customer data outside Australia.
What we never do
We do not sell your data. We do not train AI models on your data. Before any external AI service is used, we shield personal information so providers do not receive client names or other identifying details in the clear.
Who else sees it
Our subprocessors (for example: cloud hosting; AI services with client-detail protection; payment processing) operate under data processing agreements that mirror our commitments to you.
Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), you have the right to access, correct, and delete your personal information. Email privacy@counselos.au or contact us via the contact form.
Notification of breach
If a breach affects your data, we will notify you in writing within 72 hours of becoming aware, with a full incident report to follow within 30 days.
